| Notes: |
The E.G. Spineboard is fast becoming a standard in the lifesaving industry throughout the world. As the first plastic aquatic spineboard, its average life of 6-10 years (with maintenance of straps and Velcro) represents a significant improvement over wood boards that often last just 3-5 years. Secondly, blood-born pathogens that soak into wood boards may only be removed by refinishing, while with a plastic board you can use a strong antiseptic cleaner.
Thirdly, the E.G. board holds a load weight over 2,000 lbs., far superior to any other aquatic or wooden board and matched by very few plastic boards The average load weight on a wooden board, roughly around 600 lbs., weakens with age, so after 4 years in a swimming pool environment, it may be reduced to 350 lbs. Our plastic board will retain its strength. Fourth, our bookend head blocks are the strongest in the industry.
The blocks on most other aquatic boards break if the board falls over, and sometimes need to be replaced as often as twice a season. With the E.G. spineboard, you can rest assured you have purchased the finest aquatic board in the industry. We also offer pediatric and tail versions.
